200 TDI / TD 5 Front Axle Swap ??

Looking for advise ,I have a 1992 defender 90 200 TDI requiring a front axle .
I have been offered a Front axle from a 2001 TD 5 are these axles interchangeable and would run ok ?

yes it will be fine ,just need the later radius arms or washers to fit inside axle brackets if you use your arms

So it will fit / run ok and the radius arms are a different size ,so require to get TD 5 radius arms if available ?

disco radius arms or defender 300 tdi and onwards, def 200 tdi arms are 5mm thinner

Just done it to my 1986 90.
Nice new NOS (crated) TD5 axle, a pair of later radius arms (fitted with new bushes) and a day spent mucking about. Even the brake-pipes are the same, although I fitted new SS flexi-pipes they were the same items as I removed with the old axle.

The breather is different, there is no banjo on the TD5 axles so you either need to buy the correct pipe, make your own (it is push-fit) or tap out the hole and fit an adaptor.

Just realised this diff doesn't have driveshafts or hubs so probably the shafts will be different and no doubt the hubs .
