200 tdi in a series

hi all i have a 200 tdi out of a discovery in a series 3.
Ever since i fitted it i carnt get the temp guauge to read corrctly, it has a series 3 temp sender in with a series 3 temp gauage ran throught the voltage stabalizer and will not work?

Should work fine.

Connect the lead to the sender to ground, the guage should show max reading, if not meter the other connection to the guage to ground, you should get 10 volts, if not the the stabiliser is screwed, though this would cause the fuel guage not to work also.
Maybe the guage itself is screwed.
