Got a 200 tdi lump, fitted belt 3k ago, notice bits of belt in oil drain hole cam cover. strip it ,to find belt worn on one edge. its moved around 3mm, so it catching on tenstioner lip. all looks as it should do ,a full kit was fitted at time. the only thing i can put it down to is , the belt may have not quite had enough tenstion on it ? anyone else had a problem of this description... many thanks :)

Think i have found problem, where the roller bearing sits, the stud has been heli coiled at some point, and the stud would not tighten properly . also on the end of the heli coil face end, they have a bit of thread that overlaps the face, so the roller bearing does not sit flush its at a very slight angle. Its only a couple of mm , but enough to make the belt sit slightly wrong. thought i would of spotted this last time:( another one to look for when fitting a new belt kit :)
