I could've sworn i'd posted this already but i'm guessing i either hit the wrong button, its been removed or deleted. If its one of the latter then a PM wouldn't be too much to ask with an explanation.
However i'll go with the first one for now.

I've been given a 200TDi timing kit, belt, tensioner, gaskets etc etc by a friend who doesn't need it anymore and "it's no use to her so i might as well have it"
I have a 300TDi, are any of the parts compatible. I ran a parts number check on a parts website and they seem not to be. However i'm aware of some parts being identical but having different numbers on dispatch.

thought i'd ask before i rushed of and bought parts.

cheers

I want to do the belts on my 200 TDi before too long, wanta sell them..? Oh, hang on, I think I might have a 300TDi kit in the garage from when I had a Disco, I'll go have a look in a bit when I've finished my coffee...

This is what I've got, what make's yours?

Ah, looks like your bits are shi... I mean Britpart too. I bought mine a few years ago before I knew better. After recent experience and comments in the ****part / britpart fred I think I might just get the Bearmach kit, the same timing belt but their gaskets and pulleys. If nothing else, for my own peace of mind...

I would suggest swapping timing belts but we're probably best sticking the kits on ebay, getting what's we can and buying complete, eh?

they came from paddocks, i;'ve used Britpart on all my vehicles for the past 10 years and never had a failure.

I think if we just sell them off it'll be best, i ordered some shockers from Paddocks last night, will get a belt kit too.

there's fook all wrong with that Dayco belt

It's not the belt I'm worried about Sean, it's the other bits.

And sorry about that Dave, I'm wanting to build Scratchy to last as long as possible and haven't had the best results with the Britpart bits, added to the issues other members here have had I'll steer well clear.

Best of luck...
