hi,
Just out of curiousity has anyone put a 200/300 tdi engine in a freelander because ive been told the 200tdi engine and the di engine are similar im not convinced myself bt thats what ive been told!!
Or if ya know if its possible or not

It's too tall un will stick out the bonnet. You'll have problems connecting it to the gearbox. They're mounted differently in tratters. Apart from that, it's a direct replacement. :)

Let us know how you get on. Don't forget we likes pic's. :)

I already done that bit^^^

no yu dint - yu mentioned the D-lander which is bespoke - not a gayovery hybrid.

Lots of work and for little gain. Might as well buy and run a Disco.

Mounting the FL on a traditional chassis will result in something weighing a lot more than a Disco (so worse performance on and off road). And retain none of the Freelanders ability and positive attributes.

cube on lro did it and got it working. Loads of pic's of the build stages in these threads, but they're in the reader photo section so you'll need a login to see them.
