2 stroke oil in diesel

Brilliant subject, gonna try this today, it would be rude not to.
I've got a 1 Ltr bottle of Comma mineral 2 stroke and 3/4 tank of diesel.
I'm a bit mathematically challenged but thinking 89 Ltr tank divided by 4 x 3 should have 66.75 Ltrs in. If I divide that by 250 it gives me 267ml.
Am I close? just wondering as it seems most are running 250 through a full tank? Might drop 200ml in.

Freelander's have a smaller tank than you, hence the 250 for a Freelander tank, so for a full tank on yours, about 300ml would be about right, maybe more

Bet you don't understand CWTs and ounces or Gills :)

Yep I do :p 20cwt to the ton, 14oz's to 1lb, and 1 imperial gill = 5 imperial fluid onces. :p

And where I live 1/6 of a gill was a standard measurement of spirits in a pub in England it was 1/5 of a gill to a standard measurement of spirits in a pub, that's why it's always better to drink in a Welsh pub. :D:D:D

I visited Halfords today and bought 250ml and 1 litre. I emptied the 250 ml in the tank prior to putting in 60 litres of Shell Fuelsave.

I look forward to a quieter engine and all the other benefits. When I got home, I filled up the 250ml bottle, so I have it all ready for the next tankful.

Going to give this a try tomorrow seems a good idea, mines done 190'000 so I'm sure it won't make it like new but will see what good it does and report back

interesting read (yes from first post) so will be filling up tomorrow and will add some 2 stroke to the tank before hand see how things go. after I have put it all back together that is.

I didnt notice any difference either....No huge bhp gains :( ....No silent as a petrol running diesel engine  .......No O! it feels like a new engine experience in mine....still sounds like a diesel :).....and last time I checked under the hood, the engine hadn't morphed into a Ferrari V8 straight six,7 or 8 :(:(:(

But still stick a bit in now and then to help lube everthing up....... :p

It would seem you have not got an Engineers Ear!

Of course it works. The science says it does.

You can after a tank or two, hear the diference.

Stick with it ....

Cheers

Any links to said science?.....maybe if I belive it will become?

There's posts all over the internet about this. Some written by so called scientists!
I think it depends more on your car and how you use it.
The better half always notices when I haven't put any 2 stroke in, so it must be doing something, though I must admit I don't really understand what.
I notice the biggest difference when towing the caravan, seems to deliver the power better. Tried it numerous times with and without. And with our car its definitely noticeable. But I understand that every cars different and used in many various ways, so not everybody will become a believer.

End of sermon

I put two stroke in my TD4 diesel and there is definitely a difference.
It's quieter and more power.
I also put millers additive in the fuel and that adds even more power.
