Getting a terrafirma lift kit (medium duty). Do you need to get extended break lines? And what other parts are necessary?

may be a simple answer but also a wrong one..if you just tootl.ing arounmd then no you dont if your going off road with alot of articulation then yes you will, however iv not changed mine yet and been offraodin g at p&p a few times now tried it on full articulation and its still got abt of play in the brake line.

Did you go for +2"dampers aswell? I've got a mild lift on mine with some heavier duty standard height dampers. I haven't got longer brake lines as the dampers stop the axle going to far. I have seen brake lines go with 2" lifts on full travel.

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

Make sure you find out which way round the go - front and back is fairly obvious but side to side ain't so easy! Even the damn dealers don't know. :mad:

Quoted from my topic below......

Did a lot of research to see if they were handed. Terrafirma ignored two of my emails - very nice of you (I will not be recommending you to my worst enemy). I contacted three of their suppliers, RST Landrovers and Ribble Valley 4x4 Ltd said they are not handed and Adventure 4x4 said they are. Nice to see the info is consistent.

thats very foolish advice im afraid.

you may have been very lucky or u havent really been at full articulation and the springs havent dislocated

i would say defo put extended hoses on without them u risk loseing yr brakes

this is mine on articulation but not fully articulated

If your intending to use truck at any sort of speeds and not just plodding about from what i know its worth putting corrected arms on if budget can strench to that or atleast the offcentre bushes, as lofting 2" changes the angle the wheel steers at from | to like / , meaning wheels try and turn at speed

ive been running mine with hd springs and 2 inch spacers and standard height pro comps shocks end up getting around 4 inch lift had no problems yet, on standard running gear but its gone in for a transformation

I have the terrafirma medium duty 2' lift kit on mine, with standard length brake hoses, and no probs so far..... havt been off road with it yet tho ;}
