the lads at the land rover club have suggested putting a 2 inch lift on my disco 300 tdi as i have mentioned changing the shocks but they said that all i would need to change is shocks springs bushes and brake lines is this correct and would the standard radius arms be ok

This has been done to death over and over, try running a search you may find the answers without having to ait for a reply.

regards

Dave

even with a 2in lift it dont increase ya ground clearence, just gives you a better breakover angle and a higher centre of gravity :)

however..... if you do the 2" lift and a camel cut on your wheel arches, this will allow to fit bigger tyres, which then will raise the diffs and give more clearance. :)

that's what I thought.... I have a 2" lift, wheel arches cut, runing 265/75 and they still rub on the flexible wheel arches...of course only when articulating..

I'm about to fit 235x85s, so you didn't do that camel cut then? Any rubbing? Of the body work that is!

i didnt have to do a camel cut or anything to her , iv put all 4 wheels up into the arches pretty much all the way by driving just one side at a time up a ramp and they dont rub at all anywhere

iv got 31.9.5.15 mud tyres on my 200 and they batted my arches iv now got a 2" lift shocks and springs and they dont touch at all now. and no u would not need to change bushes and brake lines and the standard radius arms would be ok. and it looks a hell of a lot nicer and i think better t drive
