i am making some changes to the suspention on the front of my disco this includes dislocation cones and hd shock mount rings as iv snapped a couple of bolts in the past and just welded new ones in.
my car is lifted +5 shocks on my car went so i replaced them with +5 terrafirmas
and since then i had a spring nearly pop out on me so want to make sure it never does it again i can only assume the previous shocks on there were not +5s to prevent this im going to fit dislocation cones on the front as the back already has some and i dont have an issue.

while its all coming off do i fit -2 shock mounts currently the car had been modified to be fine with the +5 including castor and cranked arms brake hoses

the shock turrets i have have seen better days so want to git some terrafirma tube ones either std or -2

what are your thoughts or experence on this

If you put the -2" will allow axle to drop 2" more for articulation but it will decrease upwards by 2" so will prevent the travel of the shock by 2" you can one and loose the other its just down to if you want more articulation on front axle :)

+2" turrets with your +5" shocks and Dislocation cones. Otherwise you gain nothing in the real world but move the same articulation downwards.

Heres my set up
