going to do a body lift as the start of a 4"lift rest will be on suspension, have done a search on it and found that i need the spacers for the body mounts, radiater extending pins, tie rods, boot spacers and selecter extenders,
just wondered what other people had done when doing theres, going to buy the spacer blocks, but will just make up spacers for boot floor, think could probably make the rear seat belt extensions aswell if needed, not too sure about the body ties and the rad pins though, what have others done and with what material,
or is it easier to buy the lot from ebay, but not much fun in that..:D

also its an auto so i take it theres no extending on that selecter.

Fabricated my lift blocks and brought the seatbelt rods, didn't want to do that bit and at only £20 it was easier.

My mate is choosing to by everything from eBay as its just easier and quicker. I like making things hard for myself

just ordered the lift blocks from ebay, they came with all bolts nuts and washers, with free postage saves a bit of work,
think i will just get the seat belt rods aswell make it easier..

had a look at the seat belt anchors on ebay,..cant figure out how they work,i thought the seat belts were held onto the rear cross member with 2 hex bolts on a plate,
how come there are 4 long pins,
now confussed a little, will probably make sence when i do lift but just now it dont...?

The seatbelt pins are really tie-rods that fit directly between the seat belt bolt inside to the chassis.

Your rear ones are just above the axle and the forward ones are just behind the rear of the front seats near the transmission tunnel.

Without these the forces during an accident cannot be transferred to the chassis and the seat belt mounting bolt can rip at the metal. Trust me the forces are huge when a 16 stone adult is travelling at 60 mph and suddenly stops!

body lift almost done, well one side all fitted the other side jacked up ready to fit but ran out of daylight, all was simple enough to do at roadside, the hardest bit was loosening the rear tie bars one snapped which was good coz it was tight as fek to wind loose other side not off yet as the sheared bolt is stuck tight into my long reach socket..
hopefully get it finished off tommorow.

all done and dusted now, passenger side was a bit of a **** to say the least but its all done now, thank f==k,
camel cut done bumper end caps chopped back ready to get the 265 75 16 bfg's fitted tommorow,
bumpers dont look to bad with the lift might make up a chequer plate infill for the rear one and prob make or get a winch bumper for front..
can you get tree sliders with the body lift?
