right my mate is finally not as busy at work.(auto electrician) and hes in a position in 2 weeks time to finaly wire up my winch and driving lamps, hes using a split charge system, question is if i junk the original battery and opt for 2 the same what battery will fit nicely in the box with 2 in there? dont want to spend stupid money but obviously i want them to do the job, anyone got any pics or preferences on which type..(1988 90 model)

i got a big fek off tractor battery in mine , had to shoe horn it in.
id say a couple of optimas would fit in there.
to be fair though , try and get them under the bonnet , makes things so much easier when they explode.:D

if you store batterys in your seat box it needs to be vented anyways.
ive ran a big cable from my battery to a junction box behind the passanger seat , then it splits off to all the seperate circuits, thats where all my relays and fuses are, keeps em dry and out of the way.
i then drilled holes in my battery box floor so it can drain better.

surely drilling the seat box to drain water must let more in than it drains out?i dont think ive ever had any water in the battery box if i was to drill it i would try and drill the holes as close to the top as ican

two big 25mil holes, easier to clean it out with a hose.
