Well to be fair, even a standard Tdi can eat R380's....Why would it eat an R380? They are rated to 380nm, 277ft/lb is 375nm close but should just last, for a bit

I'd say swapping in one of those over a Td5 would be a lot of work and a lot of ££££, for very little gain, maybe no real world gain. Td5 is likely to be able to make more PEAK power when tuned too.

officially passed by MOD maybe ,but operational requirements were a little different .....but its all history now....not getting into a "oh no he didnt" over it
I bought a 2.8 for the 101, back when you could get one new for about 2x the cost of a used 300.
But m&d wants about 7k plus vat for them now! Would be an expensive conversion...
I fitted it as it seemed cost effective against a used 300 (again, at the time) and also because it was fully mechanical.
Seems like a strange swap for a TD 5 though, unless you have a specific reason.
