AC is good if you are moving. Think the fans don’t turn there’s summit up with it?

Generally even in this heat it’s set to HI to vent the heat from the FIP!:D Seems to do okay provided I leave the plastic injector covers off, if not quantity servo starts to play up.

It is getting better with each new problem solved so it’s all going the right way, used to be a lot worse all time :)

Aircon fans operate on aircon gas pressure (= temperature) and run either at half of full speed as needed. Most of the time in UK temperatures they do not run as the viscous fan provides enough airflow.

In Germany last year, it was close to 40deg and I was stuck in traffic for two hours. Aircon fans are seized solid on mine but it was still nice and chilly in the cab. And temperature stayed dead in the middle.
I must confess I was worried it wouldn't cope though.
Only downside was using over quarter of a tank to do 2 miles, probably the worst economy I've ever experienced in a car!

It's been up to 41.2C here in France and the diesel still copes without the viscous fan even in traffic jams.:D

It’s been as hot as I can remember ever!
Tried aircon today on a run and was coming out hot. Think it may be blend motors sticking on hot rather than the AC playing up

I’ve always replied -or atleast read- every reply or alert I’ve had. about 20 a day so if I go away for few days it gets bit hectic

Check if your compressor is pulling in, if so, one of the pipes from the compressor should get cold, if it does and it's still blowing hot it's likely to be the blend motors

Trace the wire to exactly where it goes? Doubt it’s the radio connected to the ac relay.
Turns out the red/yellow trace wire going up under the footwell from the fuse box is wired into the fog light switch, so my fogs were retrofitted at some point.

I wonder if you have the lowline BECM? Yes, DT shouldn't have fogs but yours and mine both do. No extra wires on mine though, loom is tgere but needs highline BECM.

Very useful info on Air Climatization, Nanocom shows my right hand motor stuck (Left hand Drive). Not thought much about it though yet too much else to do. BUT as this summer 35 very frequent and only last week in the Landes was 38. Next year more? thanks all for a long thread, read with appreciation. I presume my mine is a hi-line. So aircon now added to list of to-do's.
