Hello all,
would a 2.5 n/a pulling a 110 be suitable for overlanding in europe..it is kitted out for two people, light weight gear..minimalist style ?

Cheers,
steve.

Just spat my tea out out storm99, really did laugh out loud :)

To be fair we are not in any hurry(just as well) and wont be rushed etc. Just concerned that if we went on an overlanding trip with a firm, they may tell us us to upgrade the engine or not come ?

Steve.

I drove a N/A for years on the continent, it does the job but tbh id be looking at least at a 200tdi lump, its better on fuel and far more powerful, will sit all day at 60mph whereas thats thrashing a N/A.

That said, if you're touring round, not in any rush and hoping to avoid motorways/Major routes, a N/A will go on forever.

Personally...200tdi all the way for that mileage and comfort. You'll be deaf and having seizures by the time you get to Dover.

Cheers storm,
we are putting in loads of noise reduction elements, usual stuff in bonnet, footwells and all of the back will be done.

Still ****ed myself at the seizures bit though, made me chuckle :)

Hi, my 109 had an overdrive, it did the LandyRally alright and a few other trips, but yes, slow and other characteristics, but very enjoyable.

Cheers Mark
