Hi,

I'm new to Landy ownership and have just bought a freelander 2 2.2 td4 HST (2008).

Its a 160bhp model do can i assume it's a none dpf model? (It's £315 to tax!)

Also, can someone please advise if swirl flaps are fitted? I've searched and can't seem to get a good answer.. if they are, i'd be interested in deleting them. Can this be done via a remap or do they need to be physically removed?
This would be for a future proofing effect mainly! I've heard horror stories of the engine swallowing them by mistake!

DPF was an option on that age of car - check spec on TOPIx of the VIN

Swirl flaps are fitted to that engine - only safe way is to physically remove them to prevent them being ingested
