Hi every one I could do with a bit of advise. Iv just got 2 ex army snatch 110 rovers and I'm wanting to convert them to civi spec but ain't got a clue what to do first lol. I got these in a swap for me motor bike which I thought was a good deal as I've fell of the the bike more than I was on it. I normally use a disco 1 but do know a lot about the 110 and 90 as these were the motors I used every day in the forces. But still need advice on changing to civi spec. To me the army version is the way. Bog standard easy to work on. Any advice would be good as the wife ain't to happy about havin 2 dirty big rovers sittin on the drive lol

I'm really sorry to hear of your predicament. As a fellow landy owner, I'd like to try and help you out of this mess. So with this in mind. I'm prepared to give you £10 and a slice of 110woman's Lemon Drizzle cake. in returm I'll take both the landies off your hands..

Can't say fairer than that. :D :D

Lol fair offer but I love the 110's so no lol they are getting a gun metal grey paint job and lots of shiny things put on them. It's just that I want to put forward facing rear seats in and get rid of bench seats. But will be keeping the gun racks lol

Tell the wife to shutup! Don't mess with the character of the vehicles I prefer the look of a snatch to a bog standard one anyway

If she's complaining about them being dirty throw some more camo netting on them……they'll be invisible ;)

I would but they are fresh from afgan lol I love them to bits but I've had 6 people asking me to put them in to civi spec and the they would buy them straight away one of them have even give me a 2k deposit so you might know why I want to get these done lol. They are the v8 type but having a problem with the back seats? I want to be able to put forward faceing seats in but don't know if I can

I will take it for the team lol but if any one is after 110's or 90's I've got a good sorce and there at good price as well. Lol

I used 2 fold away seats from a disabled minibus. Fashioned brackets and fixed to wheel arches. Will be altering the brackets but ok for now.

Ebay. There were some legs with them but removed that. I just typed fold away seats on there. £60 the pair

The legs are just two bolts. Bit of box section and easy to fit. Quite heavy but bolted down more than happy for kids in the back.
Would these pass for a mot? Only asking as I know the buyer has kids and don't want to put seats in that could cause probs in a crash.

Bolted straight through the wheel arch. Made 2 L shaped brackets out of steel. Will change to small box section at a later date. That will push them further into the middle of the tub.

You need to make the brackets as obviously the inside of tub isnt flat. One bolt to top of tub, one through wheel arch. Then fixings through plate you can see. In all i used 10 bolts. Next job will be changing the covers.

I know they are not land rover seats but as a cheaper alternative work quite well. I think with landrover ones you have to alter the wheel arch as later models are slightly different.

I am worcestershire. If you are not too far away welcome to look
