2.0Di alternator

Hi everyone
I’ve just bought a 2.0Di and have an issue! I’m pretty sure the alternator needs replacing! I live in the sticks and a garage is out of range for me, also while I have her at home would seem silly no to do myself!
I’m guessing a lot of you on here are pretty verse in how to do this, is it possible someone wouldn’t mind walking me through the process please? A few pictures wouldn’t go amiss as I’m a visual learner!

The best thing you can do is to download the Rave Workshop Manual. Info on downloading and running it here...

When you say 2.0Di that is the early Rover L Series diesel Freelander up to 2000, not the TD4 from 2000 onwards. So make sure you download the correct version of the manual.

It will have step-by step instructions on removing and installing the alternator.

If you want bigger pics you'll need to download the Rave manual, and its worth doing anyway as it always comes in handy, but these are the pages...
