My freelander has had quite a large fuel leak that resulted in the car breaking down. It does not start and the RAC chap could only get an unknown 1110 code. He says that there is low pressure going to the injectors. From reading other post it's seems that it could be related to the High Pressure fuel pump. Is there a way of checking the pump for leaks etc... If I do have to remove the pump does anyone else have a guide as I can't download the one that I have seen on here.

If there is a 'leak' then there will be a lower pressure at the injectors. Where is the leak emanating from?? You would only be able to clarify the HP pumps integrity once the leak has been sorted. If it's leaking from the HP itself, different story..
Many thanks for the reply... I managed to get the undertray off and tried to trace it back. It starts to get somewhat difficult to see the direct place it is originating from as it runs down the engine then off the sump, I guess that I will have to start stripping back further to see it. The HP does seem coated in fuel but so does most other components in that part of the bay. It does however only seem to leak when the ignition is on which is interesting. The fuel pipe feeding the injectors is dry as a bone and it appears leaking around the back side of the pump. Are you aware of where the pump receives its feed from as I can't identify the pipe in which it's receiving the fuel.
