thought id post mi pic fer yer all to get a laugh

i had my 1st attempt at patching my rear arch

recon i might have to redo it before the mot but i could use the practice

I have to say from that picture that looks like a lack of heat (amps) which could be due to a bad earth.

If you have the time, practise on scrap pieces of the same thickness that you plan on welding and then you will get the settings close to right for the real thing.

the only problem with that, i have found, is that it is difficult to find bits to practice on that have the same proportions of paint/rust/waxoil/underbody **** and with thicknesses varying from 1mm to 5 thou within 1cm of each other that you find when doing it for real. ;)

Doesn't matter if it looks ****e (and yours looks better than mine!) so long as it's strong.

The MOT man can't say "well it's solid but looks crap so it's a fail..."
