My engine is coming together quite well. I am now about to fit the cylinder head.
The manual states that the head gasket should be fitted with the embossed ''Diesel" uppermost.
Well my new gasket does not have "diesel" stamped on it and the old gasket, which has, was fitted with the diesel stamp downwards. This meant that the raised part of the gasket was at the top coinciding with the hotspot inserts.
Does anyone have a definitive opinion please.
Thx.
