1999 td5 disco traction control

can i turn this off? if so how?
the old 300tdi never had this and was perfectly good fun in the snow

Turn that off, which you cant (as such) Unless you have a CDL engaged, then you will go no where if it gets bad as the d2 relies on the TC.

We've been out in some fairly good snow these last few days and the TC only popped on a couple of times, so for most driving you won't know it's there. But, when you DO need it, it is very handy and as UP says, without diff lock you're stuffed in a Disco 2 without TC if it gets sticky.
