hi all, just registered and looking at purchasing first discovery !
I have this in mind :1999 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2.5 Td5 S 5 Seat 5dr Diesel Sw

185,000 miles, 5 Door Estate, Blue, Diesel, Manual, Electric door mirrors, Alarm, Full size spare wheel, Rear electric windows, Alloy wheels. MOT Sept 2012 Taxed end Nov 2011

I believe this to be a "commercial" as it has no roof rails and boxes instead of the two rear seats. it dose have windows all round.

is the spec ok on these ?. and is there anything in particular i should be aware of.

Is this model a watered down version ?. It has different alloys than i have seen but no fogs, roof bars etc.

Wonder if its worth waiting for a GS unless its imaculate ?

Condition trumps everything. I would have liked more 'toys' on mine & could have got this but most were piles of crap. Let's face it, at this age most of the toys will start to play up. I've also got a top of the range Renault Scenic with all the bells & whistles but actually prefer the basic 'honesty' of the Disco.

Each to their own though. Have fun searching!
