Ok guys enough....I only wanted to change the lights and bumper on the front. I bought this P38 real cheap as it was a non runner. Someone had put upgraded lights and grille on which do not fit and look real stupid. I have removed them and now I have no lights at all. I therefore was bowing to your expert knowledge on what front light options I had as there seems to hundreds of various models about. I have no range rover previous knowledge but it would seem I need to buy P38 genuine headlights...I think the ones with the clear indicator look better so perhaps I shall look for some of them and a standard grille.
Thanks for the lectures..

P38 headlights changed once, in 1999, when BMW upgraded the car with some new electrics. The newer headlights are exactly the same shape and fitments but came with clear indicator lenses and black surrounds to the reflectors. :D
The indicator lenses are separate so can be bought individually.

ahhhh, you have it converted already! you never said that! :D:D:D

if you want to make it original but updated, +1 on dogsbody. post 99 clear indicators and later style headlamps. if it has L322 lights on now, you may be lucky and have the original lights just slot in place. depends what they hacked away to get the "new" lights in place.

this now sounds a promising idea and wont be an "underpidgeon".

it will never happen.

otherwise someone has to prove it wasn't like it out of the factory.
load of bollocks :p

They don't need any knowledge, it's the wonder of computers, key in the VIN and it shows a picture of the car and the spec. The regs are already enforced in Spain and France and are getting worse all the time.
If you don't want it to happen, vote UKIP LOL:rolleyes:

Ooooooh I see......

+1 on DB's comments.....as above just hope they haven't hacked it about to much to get the previous fitments on!!

Putting a P38 back to a P38 is a grand idea.........

But just think of all those silly boy racer chopped and changed bm's, toyota's, uno's that would be taken off the street. A lad turned up to my local MOT tester with a Subaru that he'd fitted super low skirts to all the way round. Couldn't get it on the brake test rollers, ramp, or even get a jack underneath. Didn't fail it because they couldn't start the test. But no MOT until he's taken them off (£2000 worth as they'd been fibreglass blended to the panels and painted). Everyone looked very sympathetic, until he'd driven off (noisily), then we all ****ed ourselves.
