1995 disco 300tdi oil

Hello all just going to service my disco in the next few day but wondering what's people advise on oil I was going to go and put 10-30 semi syn in but people are saying I need to be using minarel oil as the car s got over 130 k

Also we're have you found best place to buy from and are the make worth paying for I read people using asda oil or car lube

Semi syn is a minerial oil but modified, as long as the oil u purchase is to the vehicle manufactures spec the it's ok, that info is in the owners handbook or the
specification pages of the workshop manual.

Lots of outlets have their own brand label on their oil cans, 'Halford's used Esso but now use Comma, 10w-30 is in the mid ambent temp range ie.-10c to +35c where as 5w-30 is below -30c to +35c.

Asda quite often have Castrol GTX on offer for £10 for 4 litres.
