hi ya everyone :D

i`m going to look at a 1995 m plate 200 tdi disco later on with 85k on the clock.

quite afew things added which maybe standard has im new to discos i`m sure i`ll be put right, side steps, light protectors, roof bars.

is there anything i need to look out for on the disco it`s at a dealer the one thing that concerns me it has part history but has some other paperwork

any help would be great cheers.

What'she asking for it? M reg suggest 300 tdi. Take it for a very long test drive and make sure temp gauge stays around the middle. As said before check for rust just about everywhere, especially the boot floor, front floor, front inner wings. Make sure all the electrics work.

Yeah are you sure it's a 200tdi as they brought in the 300 series in '94. My '93 is one of the last 200s. Do the headlights have a black plastic surround or do the headlights meet with the actual body panels? The 300s also have slightly nicer interiors and have a slightly curvier dash board and instrument cluster.
Yeah it's sad to know all that but it comes with ownership!

Um, maybe sell the Glof private like and don't get ripped off by the dealer. My '95 300 TDi cost me £450. Admittedly it's done over 200k, but who's counting>

imo its all about condition id rather pay 2k for a minter etc than a grand fer a bag o ****e, its not just the mileage its how its done them miles anorl :D

2 grand is a lot for a 95, i paid 1000 for a 96P 300tdi. Even if it is mint, you need to be getting that price down.Cost to change from the golf (depending on year) should be no more than 500 quid. I would shove the golf on ebay or in the trader and go in with cash at these ages. I saw an absolute stunner in the trader not long ago, for 1295 on a N plate, Cash would have bagged it for 1100 i reckon.

cheers everyone for the advice

spoke to the dealer the actual mileage is 72k not 85k.

erm when is the timing belt due on the tdi`s is it a belt or like mi golf a timing kit.

well i`m taking your advice and mi golf will be going on fleebay to sell it.
