I have the srs light flashing my 1994 D1 if. Does anyone know if I rectify the fault will the light go out or will the ecu need the fault clearing by some means.

Today I renewed the clockspring as I had a spare and checked all the connectors plus the fuse. All I found was a chafed wire on the left hand airbag sensor - actuator which I repaired however the srs light is still flashing.
I can't find an obd port anywhere however there is a strange blue connector under the dash, does anyone know if its possible to do a diagnostic on a 1994 disco srs system and if it is what is needed to do it.

The 1995MY D1 OBD port is fitted at the bottom of the dash to the left of the steering column, its not difficult to see if u have one, also the SRS diagnostic port is part on the ECU, which is fitted below the central cubby box.

Some early models if fitted with SRS had a crash censor paced somewhere at the front of the vehicle on each side, small black units with a cable attached, I believe :(

Mine has two red crash sensors at the front and this is the port for diagnostics on it

I am not sure, I went for a drive last night and after a while it was on all the time, ignition off and restarted and it was flashing once again. If I pull the fuse out it is on permanently.

I have checked and cleaned every connector and replaced the clock spring with 2nd hand one. I did find two issues the right hand crash sensor wasn't plugged in correctly and the left hand crash sensor had a wire chafed exposing the core, I have fixed both but the light still flashes hence wanting to get it plugged in somewhere.

2nd hand ebay srs ecu fitted today and the srs light is now working as it should. I found two faults one on each crash sensor, the drivers wasn't plugged in fully while an earth strap had chafed through the wire to the passenger side and shorted it out. I think this must have fried the ecu.
