Hi all.
These pictures are of a Landrover my boss has been given towards payment for use of a farm building. The only history he knows is that it was a uk registered vehicle that was then taken to france. Its now back home and he has all the relevant paperwork. What can you tell me from the pictures? How much would you say it was worth. it runs but the clutch is stuck.

Valuing old vehicles is hard, especially from pics. The real value is actually what somebody would pay.

It isn't in very good nick, which would suggest a fairly low value in UK, maybe around 1k. As I say, all down to who wanted it at the time.

Shame, they are a nice motor, my first landy was the station wagon version, 1967.

I see on the docs the name Barnicoat, that is a good old Cornish name! :)

I'd agree. If the chassis and bulkhead are solid it could be worth up to £1200. You'd probably have to do the UK registration change though.

Well. I couldn't possibly argue with such a compelling and detailed analytical response.

It's a rusty non driving shed that the owner chucked in to rent a barn on french plates... it's gonna be crap.

with all the work that's needed.. 400quid

for 1200quid i'd want a very nice s2a with minimal rust.

you must be from landaaaan mate.. laaandan prices innit :D

Not sure from those pics if chassis is sound, but it is urgently in need of some tlc. surface rust is digging in!

Tightwad! :p
bargainhunter purrlease!

if anyone wants a rusty s2a 109 project that doesn't run for 1200 on uk plates.. then i can sort that out :D

Yeah but can you get one with the gear lever on the bonnet like this one? Didn't think so !

This one is rare I tells ya.

Don't get me wrong, I basically agree with what you are saying! :) And I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole myself!
But there are a few good panels and a new carb, engine works etc.. I would guess darn sarf you might get 4-5 hundred from a breaker. Talk someone into it as a proj, maybe a few hundred more

I reckon you'd get £800 on EBlag. It's a rh drive and there's always someone with a V5 knocking about in a dark corner.

Not from me I might add. But someone would. Might be better to guess if we saw the interior.

I'm in the few hundred quid scrap camp too, especially if you have to get it re-registered, looks like a lot of hassle when you could buy a working and registered one.

How long is a piece of string.... One man's "rusty old landrover with tatty paint"
Is someone else's
"original, patina soaked tax exempt rare lwb commercial series 2"

Running with an MOT and a wipe over with an oily rag...
£2500/£3000 on eBay easy.

At the end of the day it's worth what someone wants to pay.
And series prices ain't getting cheaper FACT
