My point has always been that they sit on the rim perfect as if it was 16inch. I mounted 16inch on one rim then one of my coopers and the beads are exactly the same. But being Landy zone, all you get is a pile of negativity!

You asked, you were told it's dangerous, you said you wouldn't use them but then went ahead and drove on them anyway...including lots of motorway mileage....

What on earth do you expect people to think?

They might stay up, you might not have a problem for months, maybe not ever BUT they are not safe!!!

Again, not listening to my point. I have mounted 16.5inch tyres in the past and they don't fit correctly. These aren't like that. I have ran them with real low psi while rock crawling and they are fine.

and you're not listening........just because they fit doesn't mean they're safe........

If you can't afford to run one, don't buy a Land Rover!

I've read through this entire thread and as a tyre fitter myself I would never do this. A 16.5" tyre needs a 16.5" rim, that is why they have sizes on them in the 1st place??

As has also being stated already, they are way too wide for the wheels you have them fitted too and whoever fitted them for you is, quite frankly, a monkey and shouldn't be fitting tyres at all.

I wonder what will happen at mot time?
We can all be knobs at times, however when you ask a simple question with only one correct answer then go totally against ALL the answers from the people you asked then I feel there is no hope for you.
The tyres may not have lost any pressure but you have told us they are wrong why are you continuing to use them?

First off its had an m.o.t, no problems there.
I wasn't going to use them untill I took a wheel to a couple of tyre fitters and no1 could see a problem.
I can afford to run a landrover. I have a defender, discovery and a daily car.

I can't believe I got this thread to 14 pages, class!!!!

Oh and I'm now running them on 16x10 inch modulars!
