I wanted a spare set of alloys for some mud tyres as I do too many miles to have them on full time. I have been looking around and I can't get 16" at a reasonable price local to me but have come across some cheap 15" alloys.

I have seen some pictures with 15" alloys with oversized tyres on them before and for the life of me I can't find them now.

Anyone know of/got pictures of a Freelander on some 15's with big tyres? I want to make sure it doesn't look daft before I go ahead and spend money I don't have!

I've got 15inch steelies with big tyres. (kingpin remoulds) there's son pics in my profile or on me and I'll take ya some

The 15inch alloys are skinny but I am gonna be swapping around my tyres across my wheels, the 215 are coming of my heep steelies and the 235s are going on. The 215swill then goon my OE alloys.

 forgot about rim width. I think the 15's are 6.5" wide and the 16's are 7".

I will have to do some more digging

Had a look at your profile. What size are they? They fill the arches alright but think they look a little skinny

I wouldn't go 225 on 15's, they're only 5.5" wide!! 16's are 6-6.5 wide. 225's are really a bit big even for them, only really look normal on modulars like the one's I have, as the wheel is wider so the tyre looks less like its bulging...

I may return my car to standard to sell it, if I can get a hold of some good matching wheels and rubber I may let my AT's and modulars go... you wouldn't need the spacers either because of the wheels, you've got everything else off my car so might as well have the wheels too :p

That would be nice. How much were you thinking for them? I was looking at modulars as they are about £36 a wheel
I have a matching set of Pirelli scorpions but they are on the old wheels

Drop me a PM with details of your wheels and tyres and we'll have a chat about it

I'm running the Kingpins 215 but wont get any more, they were a pig to balance, after about 18 months they have cracked all around the tread like the have perished, I have a rotational noise like a bearing has gone but its not bearing as it has moved front to back as I have rotated tyres when serviced.
