You are scotch locking into the reverse light feed using steps 48-50 on the instructions. You splice in to the wiring on the tow electric harness for the reverse lights - if you take a photo of the available connectors and post it more detailed advise can be given as to which wires

The top pic is are the the plugs on my loom and the bottom pic is the connector on my lights, does anyone know what i'm supposed to connect to what?

On facelift vehicles they changed the plugs to the rear light bulb holders - so you need to connect the brown/green wire on that harness to the brown/green wire on the car for the reverse lights

Both of those connecters on the towing loom are green and brown.
I'm guessing the existing lighting plug was meant to connect to male socket on the towing loom and then the female goes into the light.

So If my thinking is correct, I need the cut all of the plugs off and connect the existing lighting loom to the plug on the left and then replace the plug on the right with the plug from the lighting loom.

I hope that makes sense, it's been a very long day.

And thanks for everyone's help so far, it's much appreciated.
