just striped out the front end of the 110 as was working out where to put the intercooler, thought while im at it il stick a new timing belt on . trouble is everything was going nice and easy all the timing marks lined up perfect but theres no hole in the pump pully to lock it? and under the flywheel bolt there is no locking hole in the fly wheel either?
do i just assume the flywheel has been put on 180 degree out? and its had a new pump pully or something?
everything else checks out as it should so shall i just wack the new belt n tensioner on and ignore the missing locking holes?
anyone else come up against this problem? cheers.j

its a td late 19j. iv turned it over to see if anything changes but that wont effect the fly wheel mark as its always going to match the timing pully, anyone got a pic of the pump pully? just wondering if iv got the wrong pully on it?
the flywheel should have locating dowels ? would the fly wheel off another engine cause the problem of not lining up?
its a pain in the arse as its made what should of been an easy job in to a chore. cheers. j

it's going to cost you a creme egg
but look at cam pulley and there should be a mark on it that lines up with mark at 8 o'clock
ip pump mark at 2 o'clock (disregard f mark on ip pump )
crank at 12 o'clock.
fit belt anti clockwise and slacken tensioner and apply 24-29nm - tighten tensioner bolts 22-28nm
turn it over twice and recheck you are happy with belt tension

rule of thumb is 3-5 mm deflection on longest run and exactly 90 degrees twist on long run possible
