110 steering columb

Hi, anybody near Merseyside breaking a 110 or 90, I need a replacement steering columb for mine. I expect the shafts are the same lenght but wait to be corrected. I just had my steering checked out and a new track rod end fitted but when the steering wheel was about to be repositioned on the top of the shaft it was discovered that it had been butchered before by a some loony. Somehow they must have damaged the top of the threads and were unable to remove the steering wheel so the cut the top of the shaft off with a grinder then just refitted the steering wheel onto the now very short steering columb, the nut is only holding onto about 3 threads So next job to jump the que of jobs needing to be done is to change the steering columb.

There must be loads out there going spare somewhere.

Any one got one laying around I can pick up if not to far.

no you were right 90/110 the same accept for rear body etc

Thanks for reply. i'll keep an eye out for a scrapper when i'm on my travels. I'm going to Anglesey Friday til Monday so if anybody between Liverpool an Anglesey has a spare steering columb I can collect.

Is a 90/110 steering columb the same as a defender steering columb. Mine is an 1985 model
