Once I've sorted a few other problems out I will be nearly ready to fit Rear Tub, It was originally 110 CSW but I am changing it to 110 Van. These are the mounts in place when I first got it, But after reading up a bit on them seems like these will only fit the CSW, and not Van or Pickup.
Think its these ones I need http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php?xProd=126417
Wouldn't care I've cleaned them all up and primed and painted them all this time thinking they will just go straight back on.
Anyone done this change before??

They are seatbox mounts. They bolt along the back edge of the seatbox. They will only fit CSW, not van or hardtop.

Thanks

Looking at the YRM site, yes they are listed as 110 van. I would start checking YRMs website for parts before you go buying parts too. Those brackets can be had for £10 less than the cheapo britpart ones, and the YRM ones are galv, so won’t be rusty in a years time!

Not sure if I just need 4, for the front of the rear tub, or if there is anything else to fit at the back. I got some sill brackets and a load of fixings from YRM on Friday, a Mate went and picked them up for me.

I would always go in person and speak to both Ronnies. It’s been known for me to be there for 2-3-4 hours or more.

The tub on the CSW mounts to the chassis at the rear crossmember, then again with one of the tub floor crossmembers, and then via the C posts down to the sills. On the van, I don’t know. You will need 4 of them brackets, as these are for the seatbox to the chassis.

Cant find anything in my parts book or anywhere else. Anyone got any photos of fitting 110 Van Tub ?
I think I will need Tub on first, then I can fit sill rails, then seat box and tunnel.
Gonna pop up now and think about it again:)

When I done mine, I fitted the bulkhead, then the seatbox, then the tub, then the sill rails to connect it all together. Then fitted the roof, and finally the doors and floors (sounds easy when said like that). Leave everything loose until it’s all connected together.

. What held the seat box in place without the sills. ?Might try and get mine on today

It has 2 seatbox to chassis mounts at the fount of the seatbox, for 2 M6 bolts, and them 4 brackets I linked to from YRM hold the rear in place. I don’t know if it’s the same for the van or not. I can’t see it being that different.

Ah I see now here is my original panel for CSW

Yes that’s the one that bolts onto the rear of the seatbox. I’m quite sure they are steel, and can be galved. I would take it with you next time you are off to YRM. Sometimes they will buy used parts to refurb and galv. Look on their website at refurbed parts to see what parts they deal in regularly. It may save you some money on other bits.

I will not need that bit now, just had a look at the tub where in lines up and looks like the seat box bolts straight on to it. Really need those mounts now, funds are low at the moment so might just go for these 113728179546 on eBay

Your a braver man than me. The land rover mounts have a steel plate welded over the middle of the inside section, presumably to add strength. Those “home made” ones don’t. I wonder what the insurance company would think of “home made” chassis mounts that differ from original?

It’s £66 for the 4 off from YRM. If you take that seatbox plate with you, and see if they could knock some off. You would only need to knock £30 off and your at the same price as eBay, for genuine galvanised items. Is it worth the risk for £30?

Do you think they would knock price down?

If you take the bits your not using, and it’s thing they can refurb, you could ask. I know they occasionally purchase parts at shows and meets to refurb, so no harm in asking. Failing that, give them a phone in the morning.

Placed the tub on and Now I can see how hopefully things are going to line up. everything looks like its gonna eventually fit right with a little tweaking/ grunting/ and swearing. ;) Tunnel is going to be very tight too
Ive emailed YRM about the mounts I need.
