I get from an average of 23.4 mpg with full roof rack up to an average of 27.8mpg without roof rack. Its an N plate 300tdi without any mods (oh yes - just to show how anal it can get!!! my average with roof bars is 24.9mpg)

I just did 290 miles at 26mpg with roof rack 4 people and dog and associated luggage.....mind you I wernt particularly hanging around.

My last tank in my 200tdi 90 averaged 35mpg. The tank before that i got 30 unaware that the diff lock stuck on.

I am more than impressed with the shed.

Its all about the right foot at the end of the day. Harsh acceleration, late braking and cruising over 60mph will knock the MPG right down.
Should get well over 30mpg out of a 110 on a steady run.... I did Wigan to Penrith and back in a 90 300tdi last week and got just under 36mpg.... my VW tdi 170bhp does 57mpg on the same run!... but again thats at 60mph max. Wish that engine was in my 90 but then again.... maybe not.

Just returned from a 2 week camping trip in Scotland, and my 300Tdi 110, has averaged (Over 1500 miles) 29.5 M.P.G., and thats fully loaded with camping gear and dogs, and towing a trailer for well over half of the miles. I'm happy with that :):).

Got 11 out of mine on a 60 mile run from London to Colchester - 3 1/2 tonne trailer, and a tonne and a half in the back doing 70mph (downhill) - was impressed the mpg was so high.

Bare in mind that a new iveco van will only get around 29mpg unloaded on a motorway run (doing 75(ish))

Just been on a run to Amsterdam/ Exeter and back. Managed to get a round 35 to the gallon cruising at 65 most of the time, mind you there were bugger all in there execpt the wife. PS its bloody outrageous the price of diesel in the UK, and its gone up another tuppence again this morning.Robbing Labour Bast****rds.
