Why do the dunb merins have to screw everything up?
Is it simply because they are stupid enough to imagine that more power is better, or simply because they can??
Wow. Completely uncalled for. You got some kind of mental issue or something?

Just don't like puffed up Merkins ... and that's most of 'em!!!!
They think they own the world, and can dictate to everyone, so what's there to like??
My apologies if we've found a half-decent one who wants to destroy a Landie and a Rangie because he can!!
Rant over!!

I think that the 110 chassis is deeper than the Range Rover chassis as there is a lot more strength in a Range Rover shell, so it would not just be a case of stretching a Range Rover chassis.
Over here lots of Range Rover chassis have been shortened to 80" and 88" for trials motors, but it is not a five minute job.
The parts you would have to weld to the Range Rover chassis are probably the same parts that need replacing on your 110's chassis anyway.
Access is usually the biggest problem when welding rotten Land Rover chassis, so if you remove the body, you will probably find that keeping the original chassis is far simpler.

Thanks you have just answered my question when I got the body stripped down yesterday the defender chassis is really quite good the rear end is tired but the rest is good even the outriggers have not been welded yet as for trying to streach the range rover chassis stupid idea I would of ended up a major headache thank you for the advise
