hey guys,
my defenders one headlight is not getting power, all the sudden 3days ago.
i have checked the fuses and all is ok, checked the fusebox, and tested the amps on ech headlight fuse socket, the 1 4th from the right read higher and made a clicking noise in the engine bay when i hooked up the multimeter on it.
what could it be? a relay? and where would such a relay be?

still getting to know the truck.. lots of nooks and cranny's

plz lemme know what u think

without knowing your motor - tiz difficult but....

yu say fuse 4th from right read higher - volts or amps? I assume volts.

it sounds like you are activating a relay with your multimeter and yu can hear a relay clicking.

follow the clicking noise.

eish its hard to follow the noise hen im workin on the car allone ;-)
the multimeter was set to ams to read the power on the fuse box, wha i did was take out the fuse, switch on the ignitiona nd the lights, then the other 3 headlight fuses read 6amp, which is correct , the fues are rated 7,5amps.
but the 4th one from the right read much higher i suspect 12.... then it sounded like a short or clicking noise.
will ask my dad to try trace the noise 2n.. after i have sorted the new diesel leak i noticed underneth the engine bay last night.. quite a mission.

When my n/s main beam fuse kept blowing, I found the wiring loom trapped between the heater air intake and the bodywork, and the insulation had been chafed through, causing a dead short. Something similar might be happening to you.
