11 plate RR Sport

Just heard from a friend at work that his girlfriend's £50K 11plate Rangey Sport died at the weekend. It seems like it spectacularly blew it's turbo to bits, and then the engine swallowed said bits on the M11.

He described how the dash 'lit up like a christmas tree' and the central locking and electric windows refused to close when it was recovered.

Luckily though, the main dealer that it was taken to had a courtesy car available; an 11 plate Fiesta. :laugh:

Quite a few RR sport owners are getting rid and returning to the vogue. I can't afford either, but apparently the sport isn't very good at all.

am i not right in thinking the RR sport is just a glorified Disco 4? (uses the same chasis doesnt it?)


Not sure why i have this in my head, dont know if i read it somewhere or not.

There must be something good about the Sport, every 4th or 5th car around here is one

I heard today the dealer has written it off!! She'll be getting another new one.

Quite right too - fair play to the dealer - sounds like they value their customers.
