10w40 engine oil

was in BQ yesterday and noticed 5ltr 10 40 oil carlube brand £14 .48 . Looked in screwfix , same oil,same brand £18.99 BQ own Screwfix ! Dont assume Screwfix is cheaper than BQ.

Dont know if this is correct,but my old dad told me that the bloke who started screwfix is the man behind Tool Station. They certainly measure up against screw-edfix on most prices,plus no minimum buy for free shipping.....or at least not when I looked !

It is wierd - same companies having different promo's. My insurance company qouted me over £500 but the same company gave me an on-line quote on Moneysupermarket for the same policy for £350. I phoned the company up and once I'd given them the web reference they gave me the lower price - said they had no information on the promo's their web sales team were offering!

That's the norm with insurance companies and discount for new customers, so what I do is no renew my policy but take out a new on as a new custome,r that's if I wish to stay with my existing company.

Screwfix aint cheap for anything nowadays.

Not a bad spec on that oil. Its semi-synthetic API SL CF. ACEA A3 B3 B4. I,ll be needing a couple soon for me service and with what Ive saved Ill be able to buy a Paddocks service kit ! Whoopee !
