1 litre of coolant 6 weeks ?

Hello guys & girls,

Lost 1 litre of collant in 6-7 weeks, so about 1600 miles

Engine perky, no signs of getting hot, no warning lights

No head gasket gunk, or crappy water mixing after its been topped up. ]

Landrover is not using any oil

Getting around 520 - 580 miles out of a full tank from nothing or £125. 00

Thats 50 50 local and motorway

Turbo Diesel 2.5 td5 2001 - All servicing has been done early by previous owner and it sits at 109,700 miles.

Just looking for possible causes so i can check underneath tomorrow

the leak will only show under pressure ...

so you need to apply that pressure and still source the wet spot

ours leaked from the heater hoses at the back of the head, (a real pain to find) ...

friends of ours had a Ford they covered the engine in talc - found the water leak and two oil leaks - well happy
