as my freelander has developed a huge misfire again i was just wondering how much of a job it would be to swap my 1.8 k series freeland for the v6 engine

Not worth the effort - unless you want 2 HGF's at a time, rather than one.
You would have to swap all the electronics as well and the vcu and possibly the ird.

1.8 or v6
