04 Freelander Red Light? Help

I have an 04 Freelander, sometimes when I open the driver door the truck beeps and a little red light blinks. The light is located below the tach gauge just under where it says rpm x 1000. can't find it in the manual nor can my local tech tell me. I don't want to pay for them to tell me it's nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its the batteries in your keyfob are low

I have a 2002 freelander had the same problem the batteries in the keyfob were low. It states so in the manual.

Un bloody believabubble, wor lass noticed this happening to hers about two weeks ago (04) and no one I knew, could work it out.
Boy am I glad I read this, well done above dudes.
