This is an odd one...

Got an RDX LED reverse light which has always worked. About 6 months ago I added another live & neutral into the reverse light connector which powers my rear parking sensors, light carried on working, as it should.

Today I was fitting my reverse camera, I spliced into the live (behind the connector) for a signal feed for the head unit. Now the reverse light doesn't work...

Heres the odd bit, according to my voltmeter I am getting 12v at the connector, parking sensors work fine too.

The light itself works, tested on an external 12v car batt

So what is happening here? Any ideas?

As in more wires to feed the reverse cam! I chose poor words lol

Not more power to feed the light!

So everything is normal going up to the reverse light connector
At the connector I have - reverse cam signal wire
Then two +/- coming off which feed the parking sensors and reverse cam

Your diagram makes sense.
Since you reckon that everything else works except the reversing light since you added the last item, I would be inclined to check that you haven't disturbed any ground wiring around the light and also recheck your splices to make sure that they're all OK too.

I shall. Though if I had damaged anything surely it wouldnt be gettinf 12v?

That would all depend on what you're using for your "measuring ground". Many people might use the negative of the voltmeter by connecting it to some point on the bodywork, a clean screw head for instance and in that case, you'd only be checking the +12 volts wiring and not the ground that the actual circuit is using.

Thinking about this further, I don't quite understand why you have a power feed to the camera, on mine, the power is actually fed to the camera from the monitor set up and only the "reverse sensing wiring" was required.
Essentially, what I'm saying is go back and recheck everything in the circuit, including the integrity of your ground wiring, and polarity if LEDs are in use.
