My 110 has been running quite well of late so I thought I would try a 0-60 time for a laugh. None of the vehicles I have are quick so on occasions this beast actually seems reasonably spritely.

Anyway, on the flattest bit of road on the way home from the car boot on Sunday I went for it. Nothing scientific, just had an iPhone stopwatch in one hand and kept an eye on the speedo.

It did a respectful 28.5 seconds.

I am running BF Goodrich 235/85R16 AT tyres, roof rack, Defender R380 gearbox on a Discovery transfer box, Discovery 200Tdi with a a smokey tweaked injector pump (which I really should have a look at one day) and roughly 50/50 diseasel and crisp&dry.

Anyone wanna give it a go?

28 seconds:eek:
I did mine about a month ago and did 16.5:D except it was very slightly downhill but thats with 265/75 mt's and a standard 200 tdi.
I was proper ragging it though:D
And mines a 90

Not too bad though there quite heavy.:)

I beat you all!! my disco 300tdi will do 0-60 in about 8 seconds (when pushed off a cliff :) )

but on a normal flat road with the mud tyres about 28 seconds ( no seats or extra weight in it at the moment!)

The brochure claims a leisurely 15.9 seconds for the 2.2 -- I haven't tried this out yet but will have a crack next time I'm out.

Not accurate, just an estimate but around 10 - 11 seconds or so, rapid up to 50 then starts getting slow

TD5 auto

3 months ...... and 3,000 miles on the clock of my brand new Defender 90 XS and I'm not sure I have got to 60 yet !

Probably a bit too soon to be considering ripping out the lump ...... I guess that might affect the warranty !

... I'm getting quite used to 55 in the slow lane :)
