Took me fuel tank out today, removed me fuel pipe as it was nearly buggered, went to take the one out of the white bus but found it was just as bad! Cleaned all the chassis area where the tank sits in ready for painting, found a couple of holes on chassis that needs a bit of welding so cleaned them up, lost the will to live and started to have a few beers... which are still going down a treat;):D

hi bustersbus. just wanted to say thanks mate for your repair step by step guides. had my 90 for a year now been doing all the rattles you get 'props and brakes front and back over the year and on this bank holiday put new swival ball seal on with the help of you .gave me the balls to go for it mate . cheers.

It's going to get revisited later in the year want to take it all apart, make it from a metal frame and finished with MDF, I need to learn how to weld and get some gear for it.

dont bother with MDF bud its **** if its raining outside it'll go to a load of mush in no time so in a disco , and half a dozen wet dogs on it fook knows what'll happen !
be better off getting some 19mm shuttering ply ;)

bit more to me flooring

Took the loom that goes through the chassis to the back outta the white bus and swapped it with the one in the green bus. Nearly got it wired up but had to stop 'cos it was getting dark.
Took me cyclone breather out and gave it a good clean before stickin' it back in.
Stuck a new fuel filter on.. will prime it once ah get the replacement tank in and a new fuel line.
Me neighbour came up and welded up a couple of holes ah discovered on the chassis, then ah primed thum and primed the area where the fuel tank sits in... will give it some paint the morn and then a good coat of waxoyl inside and out.
;):D

No wurries mate;) Glad ye found it useful:D

Fitted a cracking roof rack and ladder which a kind forum member passed over to me in return for a small amount of beer tokens. It looks fantastic on the old landy.

Noticed a slight leak from the bung in the bottom of the fuel tank so that's the most pressing thing to do next. Brother-in-law reckons annealing the copper ring should sort it - sound right?

Took the day off work today to get the fuel tank in, collect and fit me new fuel pipe, bleed the fuel system through, fit the seats back in, stick the door cards on, bleed the clutch, stuck a twin pump washer bottle on instead of me single one, chucked a wee bit more waxoyl around a couple of places for now, doubly checked my lights and everything were working and pluttered with a few wee odds and ends. Got finished around 20 to 5 and took it for an MOT that was booked in for 5 o'clock.
Still got some silly wee things to sort out like door light switches, the plates that the switches fit to, get me some matting of some sort for the sides of the footwells and seatbox, run a pipe to the back for the window washer and find me a rear wiper motor.
If anyone has a rear wiper motor knockin' about... Ah wouldn't mind buyin' it from ye if it's cheap enough;)

Big thanks tae Sean for the steering column, go faster pedal and some other bits:5bcheers2: :D

Also big thanks tae Griff fur the steering wheel:5bcheers2: :D
