Tip Tronic Issue?

I have recently bought a 2005 Range Rover TD6 and am having an issue with the tip tronic gear box.....I say issue, it doesn't work!

It still drives fine in normal auto mode but as soon as I shift into manual mode the shifter does nothing and continues in full auto.

Any ideas what the cause of this is?

this would be the most relevant place for it.Int it under warrenty?otherwise garage and itll be dollars

I know LZ thrives on being rude to people, but surely being more polite to newbies may encourage them to take an active part in the future.
Something along the lines of "please only post questions in one place" would have been more welcoming.
