i've got a 4" lift on my 90 and its sound.it makes your steering a bit twitchy,but if you are only going up 2" it shouldn't be as bad.instead of buying a kit it is easier to make one out of steel box section,it is dead easy.first get some 2" square steel box and cut it so it just fits into the underside of the bottom spring cups,then drill the holes to suit.either buy longer bolts to go right through the cup,box and axle mount or buy extra bolts and bolt the box the the axle first and then bolt the spring cup to the box.do the same for the front but you will have to drill a extra hole in each front box section for the shoch to mount to.hope this has helped,jimbo.

Box section spacers!! Are you ultimate bodge it man? :der: You could have supplied a few details like thickness of the box section and at the very least you could have used a spacer that the whole of the spring sat on. Instead of promoting a potentially life threatening badly designed suspension lift that if incorrectly fitted could kill you.

hahahahahahaha I've never bought a mod unless I couldn't make it myself, at the moment I have a 1987 TD90. it has series doors on it and the only mods? are a tubular bumper £50 off ebay and a swingaway wheel carrier £40 also off ebay. it is fitted with 225.85/16 road tyres on steel rims and I have a set of 235/75/16 macho MT's for greenlaning trips. Everything else is std. You gave no details as to the thickness of box section to be used. As I said in my previous post if your going to advise some one to do a mod like this, then at least have the sense to make sure you accurately describe the process and materials required. You also made no mention of the need to inform your insurance company, who I am sure will be most unhappy with the proposed mod.

And then we come to the most important question of all WTF do ya want a 4" lift for???? Unless you use the vehicle for extreme pay & play events. there isn't a greenlane in the country that requires a 4" lift.

its not my job to give the bloke the exact dimensions and spec of the lifting blocks,i was just telling him how i've done it!as for the 4" lift comment,i don't go green laning.but when off roading its quite handy to have plenty of lift to get over things without scraping all your under carriage.i also need lift to clear my 36" tyres(sorry didn't make the tyres my self as didn't have the right tools,sooooo very very sorry).i suppose if you were a caveman and you came across somebody with a fire,you'd say its a waiste of time why would anybody need fire,i like sitting in the dark eats raw cold meat!!! UFBC!!
