Quick question.

Can I change the ride height sensors myself or is it a LR job? Do they need calibrating?

After a week of different tests I have decided my air suspension isn't leaking (as sometimes it stays up all the time over night) so it must be the sensors.

Comments please!

Hi,
Sensors are plug and play, but don't cause vehicle to drop when stationery over night, this could be a problem with the left / right solenoids in the compressor box (blue & white connector) only available with a new compressor. First off mix a soapy solution of water and spray total area of air springs and watch for any bubble (will develope to look alike frog spit as seen on plants)
The system may need calibrating, I'm 26 miles from Chester and can calibrate and check these systems if need be.

if I raise the TD5 up to its highest setting and leave it overnight, it will still be up at the same height in the morning.

If I leave it at normal height, 50% of the time it will have sunk down to the bottom by morning (or after only 3-4 hours).

Both sides are even, it isn't leaning one way or the other.

I thought it might be the sensors as surely if there was a leak, it would leak every time?

When the engine is running, there is a little intake/out take of air (perhaps the compressor topping up the system) every 10 seconds, is that normal?

Hi,
Comp running every 10 secs. is too much. The air springs fold inside them selves at the base, this will explain why it doesn't do at high setting. Spray them with soapy solution as I said before.

Am I doing something wrong?? When I jack the rear wheels, (at the correct place on the arm) the suspension deflates to match the jack coming up, so when I take the wheel off there isn't much suspension bag to see, to spray the soapy water on!! HELP!!

does this suggest to you that the ride height sensors are doing their thing??

I have a height difference by around 2cm down on the right, I've seen some threads saying use a nanocom to calibrate and it should be ok.

Try calibrating first if you can get a nanocom, I could do with one myself.

I'm in Swindon wilts if anyone wants to help

Are you replying to a very old post? Or are you asking for help to fix this issue on yours?

Yes, very easy to do with a nanocom.

Cheers

Have you checked your height sensors, one may be on its way out.
If the motor is down on one side, is it all the time or does it settle over time?

Fraid I can' assist you with the calibration, I live in Scotland and no longer have the Disco II or Nanocom, sold it on here just before Christmas.

Also,

Double check your measurements, std height according to the manual is.

So you know your target heights.
