Hello fro Denmark

I just got my D1 nanocom for GEMS but it says that it cannot establish a connection to the ECM.

I get fine connection to both the ABS and SRS system, but not engine control.

I have checked the fuse and the obd2 connector itself. All seems ok.

Under the dashboard by the passenger seat (LHD) I find this connector (please see pictures) that is not connected and the colors of the wires match those on my OBD2 connector and in the wiring diagram. I am guess that that this could be be part of my problem?

I just can't find the connector that this plug should be connected to. Can anyone help with some guidance and maybe some pictures?

Thank you in advance

Thanks

Nanocom says that it should be able to talk the the GEMS computer though.

Any ideas why the loose socket is there if for no reason?

I guess I have the 14cux system then
If your engine looks like the photo below then yes you do, plus a panel fitted diagnostic socket also shown.

The white plug you show is part of an in-line connector so you should be looking for the socket and the a panel mounted diagnostic connector.

In 1996 the GEMS engine was introduced in the US, 4.0 and later 4.6. a similar engine fitted here in the UK to the RR P38.
