P38A Front interior door handles do not work

The timing is comedic - car is due an MOT and things are breaking.

My front passenger handle cable has snapped. Can I replace this and if so, what part?

However, today, my drivers side handle has now refused to open from inside. However, the cable hasn’t snapped. How can I fix this?

Thanks. That solves the passenger side but I’ll need to remove the drivers door card to see if that’s been snapped internally

So, drive side is also confirmed snapped. The question is, what now? Do I take out the whole mechanism and patch it up? Any guides online?

Not sure what you mean by patch?
Simple enough to change the cable.
