Hi everyone,

I am going to get one of these but undecided, can you advise?

I know the Ardercase is newer, and a little concerned that the lowlifes may have more experience in removing the older X-Defend pedal lock.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers!

Ardcase. You have to store it once removed looks harder to get to pedals.dows not cover bonnet release cable lever.

X-defend folds onto floor, quicker easier to use.

Pity they can’t use an Oxford type bike alarm that if it’s tampered with it activates a siren.

No experience of either but the X Defend just looks quite weak to me... is that going to withstand more than a minute or two with a grinder? Probably not... it looks like you could just cut down one side of the hinge and then effectively only have to cut half the steel.

The Ardcase defo looks more substantial, but then as above its storing it. I use one of those more basic lock plate types on mine as I'm in Scotland and theft seems a bit less common.

I have this one ----
